Release 4.39.1

This release focuses on refining PDF exports for commitments and client contracts, enhancing the document mapping experience with improved UI and VAT handling, and boosting the reliability of AI-powered invoice scanning and budget conversions.

Client contracts

Allow zero-value line items without incorrect highlighting

Previously, client contract line items with zero quantity or price were incorrectly highlighted as errors, even though the system accepted them. Now, you can enter zero for quantity and price without seeing error highlighting. To ensure meaningful submissions, at least one line item must still have a non-zero value; if all rows are zero, submission will be blocked with a clear message.

Refine commitment and client commitment PDF exports

We’ve enhanced the detail and clarity of commitment PDF exports, including client commitment PDFs. Previously, only overall percentages were shown. Now, each relevant line item displays a percentage next to its quantity and unit for previously committed, current, and total progress amounts. Additionally, column headers have been standardized with simpler, consistent labels across both PDF types.

Add page break after summary section in Client Commitment PDF

To improve readability, the Client Commitment PDF now always starts the detailed line items, change orders, and notes on a fresh page immediately after the overview section. This provides a cleaner separation, making it easier for different readers (e.g., leadership vs. quantity surveyors) to focus on the information most relevant to them.

Invoice inbox

Add VAT amount field and clarify document mapping layout

For improved accuracy and clarity, we’ve added an “Invoice VAT amount” field to the document mapping screen (enabled per company for PEPPOL workflows). Entering a VAT amount automatically displays a “Total including VAT” summary. The mapping card also now clearly labels its sections as “Scanned document data” and “Cost allocation,” making it easier to distinguish between extracted information and how costs are split across the project.

Redesign document mapping screen with inline-editable fields and sticky actions

We’ve streamlined the document mapping experience across all document types (invoices, expenses, credit notes, etc.). Key document details (name, invoice number, dates, accounting period, comment, company, and net amount) are now grouped into a compact “Document details” card at the top of the screen. The net invoice amount is visible and editable, with a running summary of allocated and unallocated amounts. You can now link uploaded invoices directly to purchase orders, and confirm/clear actions remain pinned at the bottom of the screen for easier navigation on longer lists. Duplicate invoice detection is also more consistent and clearer.

Invoicing

Clearer invoice mapping totals

When mapping invoices to progress reports or payment applications, the summary now clearly displays the fixed allocated amount above retention, VAT, and other adjustments. All invoice allocation flows now label this amount as “Total allocated (net)” by default, clarifying that it excludes VAT and preventing confusion when reconciling totals.

Work orders

Prevent unnecessary time sheet fetching when feature is disabled

We’ve resolved an issue where companies without the Work Orders feature enabled were still triggering requests for reviewable time sheets, leading to unnecessary background errors. The application now checks if the Work Orders feature is enabled before attempting to fetch time sheets, eliminating these errors for companies not using the feature without affecting those that do.
